Ben Thomson grew up in London and studied at Dartington College of Arts and at Goldsmiths University. He has worked on community arts projects across the country. The later half of his life he has lived in Brighton.

His mother escaped Berlin as a child refugee, his father was a folklorist, a writer and producer for radio. Ben has tales to tell from family history, carefully arranging space and imagery in order to communicate to his audience.

He is interested in the things that are common to all, especially memory, dreams and the great unknown. He enjoys the transformational properties of creative communication.
